That said, I am still using/recommending Lava Turtles (for now). If you decide to go for Enemy Attack Debuff, you can stack Engraved Death Worm pets and generate a TON of enemy attack debuff. Some incredibly huge players are going for mixed defenses, which is now MUCH more viable due to the new Pet Engraving to Death Worm.

Setting up as a single type defense remains the best (and basically only) option for defending your castle.

I frequently get asked what’s the “most recent” best way to set up castle defense. With Only 20 fillers, it will be vitally important for your entire alliance to maximize their march sizes. Tweaking your heroes to add march size is one way to GREATLY increase the size of your rallies on the Sanctuaries in Dark Moon. Engraving does not help, as it only adds capacity. Unengraved it is 60,000 and is equal with the Snail.

Bunny or Cerberus – If you engrave a Level 20 Bunny or Cerberus, the max march size is 80,000.

Magmaragon – The best pet for march size, but also hardest to obtain.

This means you’ll get more “bang for your buck” by using your pets to upgrade your MAIN HERO’s Pets all the way to Level 20, rather than spread the upgrades out between your heroes. After Level 15, the rewards increase rapidly to level 20.

Pets – Please remember that all pets receive equal upgrades per “pet spent” until Level 15.

Hero World Skills – Set to Deployment Size IV for maximum march size on all three slots, for all your deployment heroes.

It does not help to enhance them past level 15.

Hero Runes – Troop Capacity or Troop Stronghold Attack give March Size at Level 15.

Deputy Heroes – Crimson Gear Level 25+, Level 40 Gear (enhanced), or Dark Lord Gear (enhanced).

Main Hero – Radiant Lord Gear, if Level 10+ – if not, do not 10+, don’t use Radiant gear.

This makes it fairly easy to use your “non main” heroes for march size presets. You do not need any other stones (other than the pre-reqs) to fully maximize march size.

Hero House Stones – You need your STRONG Blue hero stones to Level 60.

Lord Skills and Item Boost – Obviously you want to make sure that you have the full Deployment Size Lord Skills, and you’ve popped a 100% March Size Boost as well.

There are several facets that go into optimizing your march size.

This is a HUGE change, as it means that it will be much easier to send a “full” rally at the capital/Sanctuaries now.īecause of this change, you should be certain that you have FULLY optimized your march size.
